| Description |
This product is a kit for the detection of Cu/Zn-SOD, Mn-SOD, or total SOD activity in cells, tissues, or other samples by a colorimetric assay based on the WST-8 color development reaction. The reaction products of WST-8 are stable, water-soluble products that can be used to determine SOD activity by absorbance assay at a single time point, making it suitable for high-throughput screening studies. At the same time the WST-8 method can determine SOD enzyme activity with a maximum percentage inhibition close to 100% and is free from some common interfering factors, making the assay significantly better than some other common methods. |
