Mitochondrial Imaging

Creative Biogene provides IraZolve-Mito complexes and fluorescent probes, a fast and simple method to label and determine mitochondria. Our solutions can support customers worldwide to detect mitochondria in live tissue samples.

The development of technology allows high-resolution analysis of mitochondria without destroying living cells. Combining fluorescent probes and flow cytometry, imaging cytometry can be used to study the activities of mitochondria.

Creative Biogene provides customized services for mitochondrial research. Our one-stop research and analysis platform can meet all your research needs.

General Strategy

  • Mitochondrial imaging using a luminescent iridium complex

The mitochondrion is a kind of organelle with a double-layer membrane structure, which participates in the energy cycle and ion balance in the process of cell metabolism and plays a very important role in the process of cell physiology. Some small molecular fluorescent dyes/probes have a positive charge in the structure. They are labeled on the mitochondria due to the negative potential of the inner membrane of the mitochondria, which provides an important visual imaging tool for studying the morphology or function of the mitochondria.

In addition to the numerous fluorescent probes, Creative Biogene has also developed a comprehensive solution to detect mitochondria, which can measure ΔΨm as well as the opening of the permeability transition pore. Creative Biogene provides a fast, simple, and convenient method for labeling and determining mitochondria. All the necessary reagents are included in the experimental scheme, and the results can be conveniently observed by fluorescence microscope or flow cytometry.

  • Mitochondrial imaging using the fluorescence probe

The iridium coordination complex [Ir(ppy)2(MeTzPyPhCN)]+ is highly specific to mitochondria in living cells. It can also effectively stain the mitochondria in living tissue and fixed tissue samples.
