| Description |
This product is used to detect the activity of Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) in cells, tissues or other samples by UV chromatography. Most of the glutathione peroxidase in cells is selenium-containing and selenium is the central component of the enzyme's activity. A very small amount of selenium-free glutathione peroxidase is also present in cells.This kit detects the most common selenium-containing glutathione peroxidase. This kit is used in conjunction with the mtCheck™ Total Glutathione Peroxidase Assay Kit (KITA1179) to quantify the presence of selenium-free glutathione peroxidase in samples. |
