This kit is used to screen for potential HDAC-5 inhibitors. The rationale of the kit is based on the HDAC-5 deacetylation of acetylated substrates. Then the product of deacetylation is cleaved by the developer, releasing a highly fluorescent moiety at Ex/Em= 380/460 nm. |
