Description ICDHm (EC 1.1.1.41) is widely present in the mitochondria of animals, plants, microorganisms, and cultured cells. It catalyzes isocitrate to produce α-ketoglutarate in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, and at the same time reduces NAD+ to NADH, which is a tricarboxylate One of the rate-limiting enzymes of the acid cycle, the reaction catalyzed by it is one of the main sources of cellular NADH.ICDHm catalyzes the reduction of NAD+ to NADH, resulting in an increase in light absorption at 340nm.
