Senior Research Scientist

Key Responsibilities

  • Help design experimental procedures. Analyze experimental data with basic statistical analysis. Summarize the data and communicate the results to supervisors.
  • Support analysis and development, as well as corresponding identification and verification studies.
  • Test samples to support analytical development and preclinical research.
  • Characterize or identify key assay reagents.
  • Write and review technical documents, including but not limited to test protocols, development reports, test methods, SOPs, qualification reports, and experiment abstracts.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly laboratory activities, such as daily and weekly monitoring of equipment, regular laboratory cleaning and management of laboratory waste, check the PMO status of laboratory equipment and report differences to managers.
  • Record all experimental data in the laboratory notebook, and monitor the data of other analysts and the laboratory notebook.
  • Track scientific and technical literature to introduce new and improved procedures into the laboratory. Conduct scientific discussions with colleagues through internal journal clubs and informal and formal scientific seminars and conferences.
  • Comply with departmental requirements and satisfactorily complete all cGMP/GLP and safety training. Where applicable, perform job duties following the requirements of cGMP/GLP and all other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Master degree (M.S./M.A.) or Ph.D. in metabolomics, cell biology, molecular biology or mitochondrial research-related fields with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative in conducting experiments, analyzing data and drawing conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments.
  • Excellent record-keeping ability.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a matrix environment with shared resources and communicate effectively between teams.
  • Assist in the design, planning and execution of experiments, analysis and interpretation of scientific data.
  • Proficient use of personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and related scientific software.

Priority Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Experience in managing laboratories or inventory systems.
  • Direct hands-on experience in analysis and development is a must.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
